前NFL四分衛提波（Tim Tebow）轉戰棒球有好的開始，日前在指導聯盟打擊練習敲出全壘打，越來越適應職棒環境，也終於在與紅雀比賽中登場，這是他相隔10年自高中之後的首場正式比賽。
提波轉行打棒球引來關注，月初和大都會簽下10萬美元的小聯盟合約後，隨即參加大都會秋訓營，跟隨球團進行訓練，並在指導聯盟中的打擊練習扛出全壘打，他表示目前感覺相當舒服。
提波在8月底測試會展現優異爆發力，不過要轉化至棒球上還需要時間調整，尤其守備和傳球與職棒球員仍有差距，雖然外界對他轉戰棒球有褒有貶，但他堅持不放棄，「不論發生什麼事，我都會守住這個承諾。」
此外，提波的周邊商品也已經開賣，高人氣得他果然是熱銷保證，不到一週的時間球衣就已經衝上大聯盟官網熱銷榜，而根據大聯盟官網商店銷售報告，提波15號球衣銷量僅次於歐提茲（David Ortiz）和布萊恩（Kris Bryant）。
